The pastry shop’s glass showcases are brimming with freshly baked goods, from Wedding Cakes, Whip Cream Cakes, Ricotta Cakes, Chocolate Mousse Cakes,Tiramisu Cakes, German Chocolate Cakes, Napoleon Cakes, Rum Cakes, Cappuccino Cakes, Strawberry Cheese Cakes- and we have not even started on the myriad of Italian cookies, pizzas and home made soups and sandwiches.

But, what if you have your heart all set for one of their freshly made Canolis- which one do you choose- the plain sugar dusted Canolis or the Chocolate Chip Canolis or the Chocolate dipped Canolis? This was the dilemma that famed real estate agent Antoinette “Toni” Gooley found herself in when she recently visited the Pasticceria Italia- which canolis should she sample?

To her aid, Master Pastry Chef, Giovanni Botta, son of bakery owner and Executive Chef Emiddio Botta, who took the time to describe how each type of cannoli are made, the ingredients used such as sweet whipped ricotta cheese and that the cannolis shells come directly from Italy. Ms. Gooley, who chose the chocolate dipped cannoli exclaimed, “these cannolis are absolutely delicious, I never ate something so fresh, this is a perfectly perfect dessert in every way – and look at the smile it put on my face- yum!”
